Sudden Cardiac Arrest takes too many lives each year.  It is the leading cause of death for adults over the age of 40 in the United States.  Between five and eight percent of people who suffer a sudden cardiac arrest survive.  These are amazing statics so to help a person suffering from Sudden Cardiac Arrest, emergency action must be taken immediately.  Use of an AED can dramatically increase the survival rate. BUT to be effective, the public has to know WHERE these life saving devices are located. Because both public and private parties purchase these devices, information about the location of AEDs is often unknown. The GOAL of our Spot The Box campaign is to create an easily accessible, publically available MAP of these locations. Help us IMPROVE the PUBLIC SAFETY of our community by using your cell phone to identify the locations of all AEDs in the area. Using an AED can save a family member, a friend, or someone in your community.
