Donations go to placing life saving AEDs in our community.
We're springing through 2016!
This first quarter of 2016 has been an incredible productive time for the Racing Hearts team! Together we have:
- Placed 41 new AEDs within East Side Union High School District in San Jose (see map here)
- Placed an AED in the Rich May Field in East Palo Alto (named after Officer Rich May, killed in action on Jan. 7, 2006)
- Successfully advocated the rollout of 33 AEDs with the City of Palo Alto placed in each police car and city vehicles. Huge congrats to all their continued AED SAVES!!!
- Celebrated active living for heart disease together with over 1000 community members at our 3rd Annual Racing Hearts 5k/10k race on the beautiful Stanford Campus. Together we raise over $60,000 for heart research, patient and family education, and life saving heart defibrillators! Thank you to each of our participants, volunteers, fundraisers, and sponsors.
JOIN OUR MISSION: Racing Hearts has now partnered with the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors via a dollar for dollar matching reserve up to $500,000 to place more life saving heart defibrillators (AEDs) in our community. Via our partnerships with Health Trust, the Silicon Valley Leadership Foundation, and donations from our community members like you, we continue our passion towards one day seeing everyone having a chance to survive and live actively with heart disease! DONATE here to join our mission!
All the best,
The Racing Hearts Team
